An insurance package which would help drivers pay for public transport while they serve out bans, has been set up by Isle of Man Assurance Ltd (IOMA).
‘Flashguard' is a St Christopher policy that provides up to £6,000 worth of cover a year to meet the cost of alternative travel.
The company said it would not provide cover for drivers who receive bans for drink, drugs or dangerous driving related offences.
The cover has been limited to drivers with six or less points on their licence.
