Four senior appointments to support recent development

Iprism, the online SME comparative quote facility for brokers, has fortified its underwriting capabilities with four senior appointments to its underwriting team.

The move supports iprism’s recent development, which saw the addition of aggregator Go Compare, high street broker Endsleigh and broker network UKGI to its ranks in quick succession.

The new underwriters take up their positions on 12 November, bringing with them considerable experience.

John Lawton will head the new underwriting team. He joins from Home and Legacy where he held the position of Director with responsibility for underwriting and schemes management. Mr Lawton was previously with Sterling Insurance and a Director of Kiln.

Gary Johnson will join as one of three new Senior Underwriters. He has moved from Royal and SunAlliance where he worked as Schemes Development Manager. Prior to that, he worked for Norwich Union.

Senior Underwriters Mike Atkins, formerly of Axa where he was Underwriter and E-Consultant, and Angus Dunn previously at Norwich Union working in its Underwriting Unit will complete the team.

Iprism CEO Gary Burke said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of such a high calibre team to support our strong growth. They all have excellent track records and experience. This first class group of individuals will help to build and facilitate existing and new relationships with insurers, underwriters and brokers.”
