Partnership with STARR will provide capacity for law firms with four to 10 partners
JLT Specialty has increased its solicitors’ professional indemnity market presence through a partnership with STARR Companies.
The agreement will provide capacity for law firms in England and Wales with four to 10 partners.
STARR head of casualty Colin Buchanan said: “We have, from the beginning, been excited at the proposition of working with JLT, an experienced team and leading brand, to bring an alternative to the market for those better managed law firms.
“Although STARR is new to writing England and Wales primary solicitors’ business we have an experienced team in this area and it is one that I have personally had a long involvement with.”
The recent expansion has coincided with recruitment in JLT’s regional operations, with five new account executives joining the company.
JLT currently provides capacity for firms with one to three partners through a facility with AmTrust Europe.
