JLT Risk Solutions and Jardine Lloyd Thompson LLC have secured insurance capacity with Lloyd's of London to provide financial protection from US financial and healthcare industries.
The new vehicle has been titled "Enterprise Privacy Protection".
Reports today said the new insurance, backed by Lloyd's, would provide a range of liability coverages for privacy and security risks not generally available in the insurance marketplace.
Besides the defence and payment of claims of civil suits of third parties or employees, the policy includes legal defence of regulatory actions arising out of US data protection laws.
