Kwik-Fit Fleet is working with customers to 'green' vehicle tyre disposal to bring down costs for used company car and van tyres.

Tyres have typically been disposed of in landfill sites but under the EU Landfill Directive, who tyres will be progressively banned from landfill site starting from 2003 and shredded tyres by 2006.

Kwik-Fit Fleet and fleet management company ARVAL PHH have introduced an industry-leading used tyre environmental strategy. Head of networks Nigel Robinson said: "We have agreed with all of the national tyre suppliers to pay towards the environmental scrap disposal of tyres removed from all of the ARVAL PHH group's vehicles using a licensed company."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
