L&G has raided Lloyds Banking Group to replace Peter Graham

Legal & General has today appointed Duncan Finch as its new managing director of its general insurance business, replacing Peter Graham, Insurance Times has learnt.

Finch is currently chief executive of Lloyds Banking Group's international financial services business.

An L&G spokesman said it was hoped Finch would start his new role by the end of the year. Staff at L&G and Lloyds were informed earlier today.

A Lloyds spokesman said: "While we are sorry to see Duncan go, we wish him all the best for his future. He has driven important changes in IFS and has set up the business for future growth."

Former GI boss Graham has taken over as managing director of Legal & General’s individual protection business, as reported by Insurance Times earlier this week.
