Legal & General has increased the range of benefits available under its Income Protection Benefit (IPB).
These include increasing the amount of cover later on, waiver of premium, hospitalisation benefit, no claims bonus, continuous cover during a career break, proportionate benefit and guaranteed rates.
Options also available when taking out the plan are unemployment cover, low-cost option, index-linking, permanent or total incapacity benefit, and stepped benefits.
The product adheres to the Association of British Insurers' Statement of Best Practice about Income Protection, which standardises generic terms allowing customers to compare products from different providers.
Prices start from £10 per month.
