Bermuda-based Ace Tempest Reinsurance has appointed Andreas Lewin as president, with immediate effect.

Reporting to Ace Global Re president and chief executive David Furby, Lewin will assume day-to-day management of the property and casualty operations of Ace Tempest Re in Bermuda. Furby will assume the role of chief executive officer.

Lewin replaces Christopher McKeown, who became president and chief executive officer in July 2002.

Prior to his appointment, Lewin was chief underwriting officer, US property, for Ace Tempest Re. He joined the company in April 1998.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
