Think-tank survey shows other hubs are closing the gap
London has retained its place as the world’s most competitive financial centre, ahead of New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, the Financial Times reports.
Citing a twice-annual survey from think-tank Z.Yen, which is due to be released later today, the FT said that while London retains the top spot, other hubs are closing the gap.
Several European cities, including Paris, Zurich and Geneva, saw higher increases in votes than London. Frankfurt broke into the top 10 for the first time.
The Z/Yen survey polled 2,300 finance professionals.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
