New app will ‘make history’, claims Xchanging

Business outsourcer Xchanging claimed today it was making history with the launch of a new app.

Xchanging hopes the app will trigger a revolution in the way people view and eventually conduct business on the move.

The market has typically been resistant to technological change, instead keeping to its paper-based way of conducting business.

The application, called Xpresso, allows people to view claims and policy documents on the move. The app also allows the documents to be marked and annotated.

If successful, Xchanging will develop the project so that eventually major business deals can be transacted with the push of a few fingers on a mobile device.

Jim Sadler, Xchanging chief information officer, told a crowd of people gathered in Lloyd’s today: “Today we are making history. This is an industry built on face-to-face trading but current systems have people more chained to their desk than ever before. With this we are taking the market back to the coffee house.”

The app can be download from the App Store.
