Katy Hawker praised for her contribution to the workplace

LV= general insurance managing director John O’Roarke has paid tribute following the sudden death of Katy Hawker at the age of 47.

Hawker (pictured) had spent eight years as director of business change at the general insurance arm. She began her career in 1991 with a customer service role at Churchill. 

O’Roarke said: “A hugely respected leader, Katy was a kind, composed and calm influence on those around her, always finding a way to influence the right outcome.

“Her colleagues and many friends will miss her considerable skills, warm personality and friendship.”

 

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
