LV= finance head named non-executive director

Towergate has appointed LV= finance director Philip Moore as a non-executive director.

Moore will also chair Towergate’s audit committee, subject to FSA approval.

The news closely follows the appointments of Truett Tate and James Strachan as non-executive directors of Towergate.

“I am delighted to welcome Philip to the Towergate Board,” said Towergate non-executive chairman Alastair Lyons in a statement. “His extensive financial and operational experience will be a great asset to Towergate as we progress our ambitious plans.”

Moore added: “This is an exciting time to join Towergate, which is an innovative and highly respected business in the insurance sector.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
