A new intermediary specialising in marine business in the London Market, Oporto Insurance Consultants, has been launched by former underwriter Jason Wright.
Wright was formerly the marine manager at John Cahill following eight years at Zurich Specialties, where he underwrote marine hull, cargo and specie.
He will be offering marine cargo, UK cargo and goods in transit, marine hull, yachts and small craft as well as marine liabilities.
The company will also underwrite fine art, antiques and collectibles, a class he wrote at Zurich, as well as jewellers' block.
Wright said: “I have been in the market for 12 years and know which brokers can place the business.”
