Markel makes Sunley marine deputy claims manager

Markel International has hired Myles Sunley as deputy claims manager for marine.

Sunley joins Markel after four years as head of marine claims at Marketform Managing Agency, and in his new role will report to claims manager Kevin Phillips.

Sunley has previously worked for QBE, Hiscox and RSA.

Markel claims director Hannah Purves said: “Myles is a recognised leader in this field and we look forward to him strengthening our marine claims team. His management skills, commercial focus and technical ability will take our marine and energy claims team to the next level and improve the service we can provide to brokers and insureds.
