Martyn Holman takes up new non-executive director position

Former Markerstudy commercial head Martyn Holman has joined broker software house Open GI as a non-executive director.

Holman stepped down from his role as commercial director of Markerstudy today, although he remains a consultant to the insurance and broking group.

When Markerstuidy announced Holman’s intention to step down at the beginning of October, it said the move would allow him to take non-conflicting non-executive and consultancy roles outside Markerstudy.

In his Open GI non-executive role, Holman will report to Open GI group chief executive Chris Guillaume.

Open GI said Holman will work in “a consultative and ambassadorial role alongside the executive board of the business”.

Guillaume said: “It’s great news for both Open GI and our customers that someone of Martyn’s experience and standing in the industry is joining us. I believe he will add huge value to our relationships and will play a key role in moving our proposition forward.”

Holman added: “I’ve had some fantastic weeks in Insurance over my career and coming on-board with Chris and the team at Open GI has just sealed one of the best.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
