This role adds to his current list of non-exec roles including chairman at Somerset Bridge Insurance Services, the rebranded Eldon Insurance as of December 2019

Ex-Eldon Insurance chairman Martyn Holman has been snapped up by Rainbow Group’s board as its new chairman.

Rainbow Group is an insurance lead generator providing customers to brokers. It includes Rainbow Connected, Kompare and Kwoter.

The move was effective from 1 October 2020, and Holman will be assisting the board and senior management with strategic development.

He will also be using his personal connections within the insurance sector to secure new accounts as well as strengthening relationships with existing clients.

This role is in addition to Holman’s current list of non-exec positions, including chairman at Somerset Bridge Insurance Services Ltd (formerly known as Eldon), chairman at e2e Total Loss Management, non-exec director at Open GI and advisory panel member at PremFina.

This week marks Rainbow Group’s ten-year anniversary.

It follows Gary Eggleton resigning from the role of director at Rainbow Group in January 2019.

Full potential

Speaking of his excitement in taking up the new role during a time when Rainbow Group’s profile in the broker market is growing, Holman said: “I’m confident I can help the business continue on its current trajectory and assist the shareholders and management to realise the full potential of this very impressive operation.

“I’ve known the company for a number of years and was a big supporter in my time at Brightside and Markerstudy, obviously with Gary Eggleton moving on from Rainbow Connected and doing a great job at Swintons, the business needed to restructure and Andy Dean has continued to invest in the whole Rainbow Group.

”I will be working with him to develop both the external strategy and the internal structure going forward. I think there are some very exciting times ahead.”

Meanwhile, Rainbow Group’s chief executive and founder Andy Dean said: “We have known and worked with Holman’s companies on and off for ten years now. But him joining us means he becomes part of ours and that’s something special. Holman’s experience in running big companies should help us take the Rainbow Group into new territory.

“In the last eighteen months we have spent time repositioning and structuring the business.

”With our UK contact centre growing even throughout the pandemic and our lead and tech businesses looking strong for 2021 we feel this is exactly the right time for someone of Holman’s calibre to be leading us from the front.

”We are all very excited to be utilising his years in the insurance industry and helping us guide the group into the future.”
