Marketform Managing Agency has appointed interim chief executive John O’Neill to a permanent role.

Marketform Managing Agency chairman John Mumford said that the board, together with its majority shareholders Great American, were greatly encouraged by O’Neill’s leadership and direction since he took on the interim role in January 2012.

Mumford said: “Although there is still much more work to be done, the board is fully behind John and his team, with full confidence in their ability to deliver on the commitment to make Marketform a success both by generating returns to capital providers and shareholders, as well as creating a working environment of which we can all be proud.”

O’Neill, a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, was the group head of claims for a large insurance group underwriter in the U.S. and at Lloyd’s. He joined Marketform from a legacy service provider where he was chief operating officer.
