Broker appoints three to Edinburgh branch

Marsh has doubled its client advisory expertise in the Edinburgh branch of its private client practice.

The broker said that the expansion is in response to growing demand in Scotland and the North of England for specialist high net worth (HNW) insurance and risk advice.

John Fraser will lead the Edinburgh-based team as senior private client manager and will focus on developing Marsh’s private client business in Scotland and the North of England. Fraser joins Marsh from Fortis Insurance and he has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, specialising in customer-centric insurance solutions.

Wendy Brady joins Marsh as a private client team leader, focussing on new business development and client servicing. Before joining Marsh, Brady was employed by Prudential in Stirling for 17 years as a customer service manager specialising in corporate benefits schemes. She brings with her a wealth of skills and experience in maximising customer experience.

The final addition to the team is Gordon Baillie, who joins as a client adviser. He will manage client portfolios and account servicing. Baillie joins Marsh from Perth-based broker Clark Thomson, where he dealt with a broad range of clients’ insurance needs.

Adrian Saunders, head of Marsh’s private client services, said: “As their wealth portfolios change in these challenging times, high net worth individuals need now more than ever the personal advice and expertise available from Marsh to help manage their personal insurance and risk issues.

“Working directly with private clients, or through their advisers, to develop tailored insurance solutions is a key growth area for Marsh in Scotland and the North of England. John, Wendy and Gordon have strong track records of building client relationships and delivering excellent customer experience in Scotland and will play a central role in expanding our Northern business.”
