Dowle will be responsible for managing Euler Hermes’ distribution channels

Melissa Dowle has been appointed as commercial director of Euler Hermes UK and Ireland.

She will be responsible for managing the trade credit insurer’s three key distribution channels, through brokers, direct and banks and will also lead the marketing and commercial underwriting teams.

Since joining Euler Hermes in 1994 as national sales manager within the collections team, Dowle has held a number of other positions, including head of direct new business in 2004.

More recently she served as head of direct distribution and country manager of Euler Hermes Slovakia, with responsibility for its risk, commercial, finance and HR activities.

In her new role, the team will focus on developing the products and exploring new distribution channels and partnerships.

Euler Hermes recently partnered with the British Chambers of Commerce to create a new credit insurance service called Chamber Credit Insurance.
