Guidewire to provide IT platform for Mercury Insurance Group

Mercury Insurance Group today announced Guidewire Insurance Suite will provide the technology for its new policy administration, billing and claims platform for its homeowners business.

Mercury chief information officer Allan Lubitz said: “ We believe it is essential that we make strategic investments in well-architected platforms that are robust, nimble and flexible,”

“We selected Guidewire for their reliable track record and integrated core P&C platform that will give us the ability to innovate and allow us to quickly adapt to our customers’ changing needs.”

Guidewire chief executive John Raguin said: “Mercury Insurance has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality service and for providing insurance products that meet the needs of the market."

The Guidewire Insurance Suite provides the flexible, core systems essential for the mission-critical operations of property/casualty carriers competing in today’s market: underwriting, policy administration, billing and claims.

The suite was designed using a modular approach, enabling carriers to select individual applications or a pre-integrated set, driven by their requirements and priorities.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
