Ian Faulkner calls for greater uptake of insurance technology in 2011
Insurance technology consultant Metaskil has warned insurance ‘dinosaurs’ not to ignore the advantages of technology in 2011.
Metaskil managing director Ian Faulkner said: “The bottom line is that much of the insurance industry has to be viewed as ‘luddite’. They are either not aware of much of the technological innovation that is available to them or frightened of it - throwing up barriers such as legacy systems as an excuse for not being able to implement really beneficial change.
"2011 needs to usher in a new attitude as insurance as a whole cannot afford to remain mired in outdated systems and practices while the rest of the world moves on."
