L&G's general insurance business selects Duck Creek

Legal & General’s general insurance business has signed a deal to use Duck Creek’s underwriting and billing solution.

L&G will use the Duck Creek solution to improve efficiency through more sophisticated pricing and to respond to business demands to offer a broader product range, across its various distribution channels.

Geoff Howard, strategy director for Legal & General’s general insurance business, said: “The advancement of our technological capability is fundamental to achieve our aim of continued long term profitable growth.

"The delivery of the system is a huge undertaking but with an experienced project team of business experts from Duck Creek and Legal & General working together, we expect to deliver the first web based new product using the solution in Q2 2011.”
