MMA Insurance said it was piloting e-van, a new commercial vehicle product, on full cycle EDI with Misys Financial Systems. The pilot will go ahead from 1 April.

MMA said e-van was designed for commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and the policy includes a courtesy van in the event of an accident, a 24-hour claims service and up to 9 years no claims discount and European use.

It said up to four drivers were allowed on the policy, but discounts were available if the number was less.

MMA sales and marketing manager Clare Tilly said: “E-van is complementary to our existing product range and supports our strategy of broadening MMA's product offerings and making life easier for our intermediary business partners.”

Following the pilot, e-van will be available to all Misys users. The product will be piloted on SSP and CDL systems in the coming months, said the intermediary-only insurer.
