Joe Sultana to drive hypergrowth strategy.

Moorhouse has appointed Joe Sultana to its board as operations director.

The Wales-based commercial broker said the appointment was made to ensure the highest levels of operational effectiveness and efficiency across the group.

Sultana will hold direct accountability for underwriting, customer service, claims, IT and business development plus the alignment of practices with overall objectives and budgets.

He will also be directly responsible for various outsource projects as part of the recently launched Moorhouse Brands facility which offers larger, established non-insurance and insurance brands a complete package to sell own-brand commercial insurance. In addition, he will also be responsible for multichannel product delivery, for both commercial and personal lines.

Prior to joining Moorhouse, Sultana was a founding partner of broking firm A.J.O. Insurance Services which, after six years, he sold to Morgan Financial Group where he remained as regional manager for a further six years. He was also previously the head of business solutions for Insurecom where he gained in-depth knowledge of software-based insurance solutions.

Moorhouse chairman Lyndon Wood said: “Joe has been with Moorhouse since April and has already demonstrated a tremendous talent for achieving operational efficiencies.

"With his broad experience in broking and in technology Joe is already making an extremely valuable contribution to the group and we are very glad to welcome him to the board.”
