More motorists than ever are geting their car insurance quotes on the internet, says Budget Insurance Services.
The motor insurance intermediary says traffic to its website, www.budgetinsurance.com, has recently increased dramatically.
It also says sales to customers who initially log on just for quote, then buy a policy via the call centre, have doubled in the last six months.
Business development director at Budget Phil Zeidler said: "As the number of policies sold directly as a result of online quote delivery increases each month, the web is becoming the most effective and economical method of delivering the Budget product to the consumer."
