An insurance company in Uzbekistan has become the first customer of Lloyd's Market Wordings contract database in the former Soviet Union.

The Tashkent-based company increases the number of countries with access to the MW system to 29. The database improves access to Lloyd's contract information as required by the London Market Principles document 2001.

A team from Lloyd's will this year market the product to other international customers.

It wants to promote a new style of limited access licence designed to appeal to overseas brokers and agents.
