I was interested in the comments regarding brokers commission (30 May , Insurance Times) and all I can say is: " Hear, Hear."
Most of the larger brokers moved in this direction several years ago to compete with direct marketing by insurers. The `own case agency' scenario was with us for many years and, dare I say, a much fairer way of doing business is by way of net premiums all round. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and to have a broker remunerated by a fee on your side must be an advantage!
