After-the-event (ATE) operations at DAS are being separated into a new department. The former Conditional Fee Insurance Services and Après products will now be grouped together under the new 80e brand.
The operations will now report to general manager Charles Wright. He commented: "We shall continue to operate in this market area on a very selective basis. If we had accepted all the underwriting opportunities we have had, we would be handling around ten times the current volume of ATE business.
"It is an extremely dynamic niche and underwriting capacity in the market is in relatively short supply," he added.
