Alexander Forbes Risk Services and IFA Mentor have launched an online service to help brokers complete their FSA application forms.
FSA Application Assistance Service provides support in documenting the undertakings given to the FSA when signing the Application Packs, and covers areas such as management systems and controls, training and competence arrangements, and complaints procedures
The move comes at a time when only 20% of brokers have applied for direct authorisation by the FSA and are facing up to a 100% increase in application fees.
Brokers must apply to the FSA before 31 May 2004 to qualify for the application fee discounts and by the absolute deadline of 13 July 2004 to ensure that their application will be processed by 14 January 2005.
The service costs £400 for Alexander Forbes clients and £450 for all other general insurance brokers
