Royal & Sunalliance (R&SA) has established a new strategy and innovation unit to aid business development.
The newly-formed Group Strategy, Innovation and Research (GSIR) unit will oversee developments in underwriting, claims management and loss control and will prioritise global development projects.
R&SA group chief executive Bob Mendelsohn said: “GSIR will be our main innovation engine and will help us accelerate our strategic business development.”
He added there would be a “strong focus on innovation and knowledge sharing” across the R&SA group as a result.
GSIR will be headed up by Stuart Degg, former group director of R&SA global ventures.
