HSBC's Simon Townsend has switched to Towergate

Towegate has appointed Simon Townsend as managing director of its caravan and park homes broker Towergate Bakers.

Townsend has joined from HSBC where he was the UK national sales director in its commercial division. Before joining HSBC he managed an Aviva call centre.

Townsend said: “I’m delighted to be joining Towergate Bakers at an exciting time where we have a number of new and exciting initiatives planned for 2010.

"What’s more it’s great to be supported by a strong management team in Cheltenham who will help me deliver on our ambitious growth plans for the business.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
