Howden Insurance Brokers has launched Howden Special Risks, a global wholesale broking division which will target business from small and medium brokers.
It has appointed Paul Dally as managing director. Dally is a former managing director of Aon Global Risks.
A recruitment drive is now underway and the new division will be based at Howden's HQ in the City of London.
Howden's chief executive officer, Tim Coles, said:
"The special risks division will become central to our reach to broader insurance lines across the globe.
"It will enable us to provide brokers and their clients with insurance solutions for all their business needs, from PI and D&O to personal accident, travel and life."
