Bollington, the commercial insurance broker, has chosen a new web-based collaboration tool to keep back ups of key databases offsite.

The tool, developed by Webb Technologies, is called Collaborative Workspace and is used to access, update and store important customer and prospect records.

Bollington Group said it is currently considering offering some of its larger corporate customers a facility to share key draft and finalised insurance policy documentation via the system.

Other broker firms have piloted the product and found it useful, specifically for assisting their efforts to secure Contract Certainty within the new 30 day deadline.

Peter Staddon, head of technical services, BIBA, said: "There is no doubt that collaborative software...is very useful for the broking community as they strive to increase efficiencies around Contract Certainty."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
