’This investment means we can keep attracting great people, investing in our platform and building on the momentum we’ve created,’ says chief executive

Chartered insurance broker Konsileo has secured £5m in equity funding as it looks to accelerate growth and continue investing in its technology-led broking model.

The funding round was led by existing shareholders Committed Capital and ACF Investors.

Founded in 2017, Konsileo has grown into a national broker employing more than 220 people and arranging more than £85m in annual insurance premiums for businesses across the UK.

The broker aims to differentiate itself through a model designed to give brokers greater autonomy, replacing traditional management structures with coaching-led support and reward frameworks linked to the value generated through client relationships.

Konsileo said it also continues to invest heavily in professional development through its in-house Konsileo Academy, which provides training and development opportunities for brokers.

Continued development

The latest funding will support the continued development of both its technology platform and its growing broking team.

Co-founder and chief executive John Warburton said: “We’ve always believed that great brokers do their best work when you give them autonomy, equip them properly and support them rather than manage them.

“Our growth is a testament to what happens when you offer something genuinely different to ambitious brokers who want to build brilliant client relationships.

“This investment means we can keep attracting great people, investing in our platform and building on the momentum we’ve created as we approach our 10th anniversary.

“We’re delighted to have the continued support of both Committed Capital and ACF Investors, who understand both our model and our ambitions for the business.”
