Called Decello, the business will be led by insurance veteran Neil Grimshaw as managing director.
Grimshaw previously founded Leeds-based Ravenhall Risk Solutions in 2006, growing it to over £10m of gross written premium (GWP) before it was acquired by Jensten Group in 2022.
The deal saw Grimshaw join Jensten Group as regional managing director. He left the role earlier in 2026 and eight months later has opened Decello.
He said on Linkedin: ”Its been a long time coming, eight months out of the industry but I’m pleased to be returning as managing director at Decello, a boutique commercial and private clients insurance brokerage built around one simple idea, service first.
”After nearly 30 years in insurance, including almost 20 years founding and leading a chartered insurance broker, I’ve seen what businesses really value from their broker. It’s someone who takes the time to understand how their business works, where the risk sits and someone to support them when things go wrong.
“That’s what Decello is here to do. We’re deliberately different in a surprisingly familiar way, every client gets proper attention, technical depth and a team that genuinely knows their business.”
Location
Decello is based at the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre in Huddersfield.

Built on the old Larchfield Mills site on Firth Street and owned by the University of Huddersfield, it’s a place where engineers, scientists, startups and established firms work side by side.
”For a commercial insurance broker, it’s a fitting neighbourhood,” the broker said.
”The businesses around us are building, testing and taking real risks to bring new ideas to market. Understanding those risks properly and making sure they’re protected, is exactly what we’re here to do.
“Some nostalgia for our MD Grimshaw as a former The University of Huddersfield alumni, this very building was the home to the UoH business school back then.”
It added that over the next few weeks it will be introducing the team and who Decello is as a business.
