The firm has been using social media to communicate with customers

The FCA has issued a warning that a car insurance broker has been providing financial services without authorisation.

The warning states the company, Glc Car Insurance, operates through an Instagram page.

Inspection of the page shows it has almost 3,500 followers, with the first of 147 posts made in July 2018. Images suggest the company has been using social media to communicate with customers.

A statement from the FCA said: “This firm is not authorised by us and is targeting people in the UK. Based upon information we hold, we believe it is carrying on regulated activities which require authorisation.”
