Why do you think you were nominated for Personal Lines Insurer of the Year?

At Ageas, we’re all about backing personal lines brokers by beefing up our technical capabilities in underwriting, pricing, claims and fraud prevention.

We’ve been working to future-proof our business by setting up a cutting-edge data science centre to power our decision-making, while investing in our infrastructure.

Our broker partners are already seeing the benefits of initiatives like our new real-time pricing software, which is unleashing the full power of machine learning underwriting models.

This prompted our early detection of rapidly accelerating inflation in 2022 and helped us to take action and avoid the price shocks brokers have seen elsewhere.

What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?

We were thrilled to be nominated by Insurance Times and their team of industry experts!

We believe we’re the only insurer purely focused on personal lines in the UK broker home and motor market and we’ve got top-notch tech, data and analytics backing us up.

By building this tech powerhouse, which includes sophisticated real time pricing, we’re seizing chances to grow significantly for our business and our broker partners. 

What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

Bagging this award would be a huge vote of confidence in everything we are looking to achieve for personal lines insurance and wrap up 2023 on a high note for everyone at Ageas.

It means a lot that brokers and industry experts put in the effort to vote for us and recognise the Ageas team’s extra effort in the areas that count.

I’m super proud of our team and I know that they’ll be over the moon, just like me, if we win!
