Why did you put yourselves forward for the category?

Underwriting is where profitability is won or lost, yet many carriers still decide on spreadsheets with no audit trail. Hyperexponential is the agentic platform for end-to-end underwriting work in commercial P&C. Actuaries build and deploy governed pricing and appetite logic in Hyperexponential’s calculation engines.

Built on that foundation, hyperoperator by Hyperexponential can work a submission from broker email to quote within the carrier’s guardrails, calling the carrier’s models and rules and bringing underwriters in where judgement is needed. We entered because this category recognises technology that improves underwriting decisions.

What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?

Hyperexponential is trusted by leading global carriers for underwriting decisions across more than $75bn (£56bn) in annual commercial P&C premium, up from $45bn (£34bn) a year ago. That scale reflects years in production in some of the world’s most demanding underwriting environments.

For example, with Allianz Commercial, Hyperexponential helped deliver 13 pricing tools in 13 weeks. Hyperexponential sits alongside the policy admin systems carriers already rely on. Our underwriting edge research, with 350 senior underwriters across the UK and US, gives the market its own data on where artificial intelligence (AI) is and isn’t working.

What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

Hyperexponential started in London, so recognition from the UK market’s own underwriters and leaders matters to us. It would also back a view we hold strongly – the next phase of AI in insurance will be won on decision quality.

Our underwriting edge research found that 51% of underwriters name time saved on admin as AI’s biggest contribution so far, while 21% name better decision quality. Closing that gap is the work we care about most. This award would recognise the carriers doing it with us.
