’For us, Destination Insurance is a collaborative platform for talent-based discussions, where the siloes of industry subsectors or firm type are swept away and market participants can truly put their heads together to share best practice, learnings, challenges and ideas when it comes to futureproofing talent in our sector,’ says editor

Insurance Times is excited to announce the launch of its new Destination Insurance campaign.

Destination Insurance has been created to be an ongoing, editorially driven campaign that seeks to support the UK general insurance and London markets in addressing talent challenges and helping the industry to become a properly earmarked destination for fulfilling careers.

The goal is to provide an inclusive platform for collaboration, bringing the UKGI sector together to talk about talent and mitigate the consistent workforce challenges experienced by market firms.

Insurance Times editor Katie Scott said: “For us, Destination Insurance is a collaborative platform for talent-based discussions, where the siloes of industry subsectors or firm type are swept away and market participants can truly put their heads together to share best practice, learnings, challenges and ideas when it comes to futureproofing talent in our sector.

“This mentality is very much based on feedback and conversations we have had with you all over the last year or so and we are dedicated to being the prime facilitator and connector for talent focused conversations, to help secure the future of UKGI as a flourishing, diverse, innovative and successful profession.”

Talent conference

As part of the campaign, a talent-centric conference in London will be going ahead in January 2026, which will include a variety of sessions for delegates to take part in.

This includes discussions about insurance’s social value to Gen Z, keeping talent in the industry, creating a shared talent attraction strategy and more.

There will also be roundtables discussing the value of continuous upskilling, managers as mentors and the case for academies.

Scott said: “Uniquely, the Destination Insurance charter also has a number of commitments for Insurance Times. We promise to have a clear section of our website dedicated to talent related content and we commit to publishing a set number of talent focused articles each week, to give you the materials and ideas you need to develop and progress talent strategies.

“We also promise to provide a physical event for sharing best practice and experiences. Our inaugural Destination Insurance conference will be held in London in January and I very much hope to see as many of you as possible in-person at the event next year.”
