LSM appoints new head of third party claims

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has appointed Nikunj Mahida as its new head of third party claims for the UK and Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

In this role, Mahida will lead the London claims team for LSM’s financial and professional (Finpro) cyber and casualty lines.

He will report to Scott Kellers, head of claims for the UK and MENA.

Kellers said: “We are delighted to announce that Mahida is stepping into the role of head of third party claims for UK and MENA.

“At Liberty, we’ve been investing in claims talent over many years.

“To have someone of Mahida’s calibre moving into this role demonstrates our bench strength and the importance we attach to our claims service.”

Experience

Mahida joined LSM in November 2015 as a senior claims specialist for Finpro.

In October 2023, he was promoted to head of Finpro claims. He also took up the role of LSM cyber claims lead.

Prior to LSM, Mahida served as a senior claims specialist at Chubb Europe between 2011 and 2015.
