’His extensive experience in the UK and European markets will be vital,’ says practice leader 

Marsh McLennan-owned business Oliver Wyman has established a London-based presence for its actuarial practice.

The new City office will be led by Matthew Facey, who has joined the firm as a partner.

From London, he will work to strengthen the actuarial arm’s property and casualty (P&C) capabilities across Europe.

This will include developing strategies around reserving, pricing, capital models and validation, technology, as well as actuarial and finance transformation.

Experience

Facey brings more than 23 years of actuarial experience across the European P&C and technology sectors.

He joins from WTW, a firm he had worked at for over 13 years.

Most of his time was spent on accelerating growth in London and the Middle East.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
