’Our partnership with SSR is a true demonstration of collaborative solutions,’ says head of trading

Sutton Specialist Risks (SSR) and QBE have extended their partnership through a new five year deal.

QBE provides SSR with bespoke covers tailored to businesses operating across a range industries, such as security, fire protection, electrical and cleaning.

The extension means SSR will be supported with capacity for the next five years, with gross written premium (GWP) expected to exceed £50m annually.

SSR managing director Gary Uren said: “Ever since our inception in 1989, our collaboration with QBE has played an important component of our business and we are delighted to extend the relationship for another five years.

”We value QBE’s technical expertise and access to data-led portfolio solutions.”

Broking

Uren also noted that the success of the facility had been based on providing the UK broking community ”with quality service, as well as excellent knowledge of the specialised sectors”.

“By working under an extensive delegated underwriting authority and utilising eTrade functionality, our underwriting and development teams work together with claims support functions to offer a bespoke unique proposition for the market,” he added.

QBE head of trading for the South West Steve Field said: “Our partnership with SSR is a true demonstration of collaborative solutions. We are delighted to continue our work with SSR through our team in Bristol and are proud of the longevity of this relationship – it is unique in the insurance industry.

“Now backed by global fintech Acrisure, SSR continues to recognise the value from their relationship with QBE as they further develop their presence in the UK.”
