NIG is to highlight its guaranteed bonus scheme using a marketing initiative to brokers.

The scheme will allow personal lines policyholders to stay at the maximum no-claims bonus level irrespective of the number of claims made.

The trend is to offer a no-claims bonus scheme with the policyholder and agree an amount of claims to be made.

If the claims exceed the agreed amount the bonus will be reduced or totally lost. NIG is hoping to remind brokers that with the guaranteed bonus scheme there is no reduction in its no-claims bonus.

NIG personal lines director Adrian Harris said: "This initiative will create awareness among customer and help generate sales leads for the broker business.

"With car crime a daily occurrence, uninsured drivers and accidents just waiting to happen, it makes sense that policyholders should safeguard what could be over half the cost of their motor insurance."
