The team will be led by private clients claims leader Anne Bozier

RSA-owned Oak Underwriting is launching an in-house claims on 25 October and as a result will end its contract with GHG.

The team will be led by private clients claims leader Anne Bozier and private clients claims technical leader Mike O’Connor.

Oak Underwriting managing director Mark Coffey said the move had been made as a result of speaking to brokers and asking them what their customers wanted.

The new service includes dedicated claims handlers offering brokers a sole point of contact through the claims journey and faster settlements.

Additionally, all claims will be responded to on the day of first notification and loss adjusters instructed within an hour for emergency claims.

Oak said the changes would result in a faster, more personal, streamlined service offering a joined up approach.

Coffey said: “To remain at the forefront of this market, we are constantly looking to evolve and develop our product and service offerings and as part of this commitment we are launching our own in-house claims team.”

Bozier added: “We have worked hard to create a compact, specialist team of claims’ experts, whose remit is to manage claims as seamlessly, smoothly and as quickly as possible.”
