MD of OAMPS announces acquisition

OAMPS UK has acquired Keith Johnson & Co Ltd (KJ).

Managing Director, David Barrett, said: “We are delighted to welcome Keith and his staff to OAMPS UK. They are a successful local insurance broker handling a broad range of commercial and personal lines business. With operations in Sutton, Surrey, KJ have been serving the local area for more than 20 years. The business compliments the current OAMPS’ operations.”

“The acquisition increases the scale of our Reigate operations and is an important step towards the continued growth of our insurance broking operations in the UK market. The purchase demonstrates Wesfarmers commitment to growing the UK business following its acquisition of OAMPS late last year,” added Mr Barrett.

Keith Johnson, the principal of KJ said “When I decided to sell my business I was approached by several interested parties, in my view the OAMPS offer was the best for me, my staff and my customers. I look forward to working with the OAMPS team”.
