Exports Credit Guarantee Department (ECGC) has named City banker Patrick Crawford as chief executive.
Crawford was previously managing director for Emerging Africa Advisers since at Standard Bank London.
He will take over as chief executive in the early summer.
ECGD is the UK's official export credit agency, providing exporters with insurance coverage against non-payment.
It is a separate Government department reporting to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, deriving its powers from the Export and Investment Guarantees Act 1991.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
