Giles Greenfield and marketing director considering new opportunities

Giles Greenfield is stepping down from his role at High Net Worth (HNW) broker Smith Greenfield at the end of the month.

Greenfield, together with marketing director Allison Greenfield, are leaving the company to explore new opportunities within the industry.

They have the full support of managing director and business partner Steve Smith, who said he is looking forward to building on the success that the company has achieved since launching in October 2007.

“Working with Giles and Allison to launch and grow Smith Greenfield has been an absolute pleasure and we will miss them both," said Smith. "Together, we have built a business that today has a gross written premium in excess of £4m. We will all be sorry to see them go, and I wish them every success with their new ventures.”

Giles Greenfield added: “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Steve and the team over the past 10 years, and building Smith Greenfield together following the merger of our individual businesses in 2007 has been a great achievement. The time is now right for me to explore new avenues within the insurance sector and I wish Steve and the SmithGreenfield team all the very best.”

Smith Greenfield Services was created through the merger of Smith Ross Shane and Greenfield Risk Services to service over 2000 high net worth private clients.

The broker said it had increased turnover by 22% and operating profit by 68% in the last year.
