Express Insurance and Gocompare.com go live with new site

Kwik-Fit owned Express Insurance, and Gocompare.com has launched a new fully hosted eAggregator solution with Open GI.

eAggregator complements Open GI’s eCommerce solutions - eStarter and eBroker - allowing brokers to connect their Open GI quotation engine to aggregator sites.

Gocompare.com is the first aggregator to be linked with many more in the process of signing up to take advantage of Open GI’s expansive panel of brokers.

Steve Potter, IT director, Express Insurance, said: “Going live with Open GI’s eAggregator solution has dramatically increased our web presence via Gocompare.com and has highlighted the competitiveness of our products to consumers. The solution was easy to implement and with hassle free quote processing for consumers we are now generating over 17,000 secure quotes a day – a significant proportion of which are being converted.”

Simon Hughes, sales and marketing director, Open GI, said: “The business volumes being witnessed at Express are testament to the success of aggregator-powered quoting, using Open GI technology.

“We spent time carefully considering how to bring this product to market. A number of software houses were already offering aggregator solutions but we believe we’ve leapfrogged them both in terms of technology and with the attractive commercial terms we’re offering, to brokers and aggregators.

“Our eAggregator engines are provided as centrally-hosted web services. Consequently, irrespective of quote volumes, there is no performance impact to the broker’s server. Equally this offers a simple, single point of access for the aggregators to our market-leading panel of brokers coupled with great value pricing. We’ve launched with Gocompare.com for motor and are in development with Bike. Other business lines and aggregators are already at advanced stages of testing.”

Hayley Parsons, managing director, Gocompare.com, said: “Since the launch of Gocompare.com, our aim has been to improve the customer experience when using a comparison site. The handover from quote to insurer is a critical part of that process so we welcome all improvements in that area.

“We’re always looking for ways to stay ahead of the other comparison sites and this certainly gives us an advantage. While we have always provided consumers with a guaranteed quote which is the starting point for an effective handover, the eAggregator solution allows us to manage this process even more smoothly.”
