Oval has acquired independently owned Lloyd's broker Lochain Patrick.

Oval said the acquisition of the marine brokerage would take it to £43m net revenue.

The company also announced the appointment of Rachel Gilliam as head of private clients.

Gilliam joins from Aon where she headed the central region of the private clients division.
