The Financial Services Consumer Panel has welcomed the move of general insurance regulation from the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) to the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
Panel chairman Colin Brown said that the change would "make things much simpler for customers, a true one-stop-shop watchdog".
